Andre “Hefebrasi” Jackson was born on August 10th at Walter Reed Hospital and grew up in Michigan Park, NE, Washington, DC. With a family deeply rooted in music, his passion for the art form blossomed early, evolving from drawings to poetry and eventually to songwriting. Initially aspiring to be a radio personality, he overcame his stage fright with the encouragement of friends, leading him to write his first track inspired by Keri Hilson's "Turning Me On." This pivotal moment marked the beginning of his music career.
Drawing inspiration from his hometown's vibrant Go-Go music scene, Andre's sound is also influenced by iconic artists such as Teddy Riley and the New Jack Swing movement, Heavy D, Method Man, Ludacris, Lil Jon, Ying Yang Twins, OutKast, Biggie, and Snoop Dogg. His love for 90s bass music, characterized by tracks like "Pumps and a Bump," "Rump Shaker," and "My Boo," is evident in his work, as he aims to capture the feel-good essence of that era in his music.
